John A. Nassar, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgical and nonsurgical management of foot and ankle conditions. He has special interests in acute and chronic sports injuries, fractures, broken bones, foot and ankle joint dislocations and reconstruction, total ankle replacement, bunion and toe deformity correction, heel pain, and plantar fasciitis. Dr. Nassar also offers corticosteroids, viscosupplementation and platelet-rich plasma injections, as well as arthroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures.

He earned a bachelor of science degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Nassar completed an internship and orthopedic residency at the University of California Los Angeles, and a foot and ankle fellowship at the Arizona Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, Ariz.

Dr. Nassar takes pride in performing surgeries with great attention to detail, so his patients have positive results. He knows that although patterns of orthopedic problems may be similar among patients, the individual treatment, whether surgical or nonsurgical, must be tailored to each patient’s unique situation.
