Advanced technique offers hope for complex aneurysms

At HonorHealth, our vascular and cardiac surgeons walk into the operating room with one goal in mind –to provide high-quality care. Together with a team of cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists and the latest technologies, they’re bringing innovation and expertise to the forefront of vascular surgery. With more than 10 active clinical trials, the HonorHealth Aortic Program team is committed to finding new treatment options and technologies to prevent, treat and manage aortic diseases.

Improving outcomes for life-threatening complex aortic aneurysms

“When an aneurysm rupture occurs, it often leads to a fatal or life-threatening event that requires surgery. As a premier healthcare system dedicated to achieving superior outcomes, we utilize the latest technologies and tools to promote healthier, longer lives for all our patients,” says Hasan Aldailami, MD, network director of vascular surgery at HonorHealth Heart Care.

One of the newest advancements is an endovascular repair solution called Gore® EXCLUDER® Thoracoabdominal Branch Endoprosthesis (TAMBE). “This technology is the first FDA-approved endovascular repair solution for the treatment of complex aneurysms involving the visceral aorta. It’s a less invasive option that allows for a shorter hospital stay and faster recovery,” says Dr. Aldailami.
