Pomegranate and grilled peach dessert

Fire up the grill and treat yourself to a dessert that’s delicious and mindful. This smoky, caramelized pomegranate and grilled peach dessert from Blue Zones* will take your summer BBQs to sizzling new heights.

Ingredients

  • Two peaches, halved and pitted
  • 4 teaspoons honey
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 1-2 tablespoons coconut yogurt (can substitute almond or soy yogurt)
  • One pinch cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • Half of a pomegranate, seeded, for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
     

Preparation

  1. Brush peaches with honey and place cut-side down on a grill or grilling pan. Grill for three to five minutes. Plate with strawberries.
  2. Mix yogurt in a bowl with cinnamon, vanilla and raw honey. Spoon on fruit. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and garnish with mint. 

Yield: Two servings
