Overview
If you’ve had a heart-related hospitalization or are experiencing lung and respiratory issues, your doctor may write you an order for cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation.
Participating in cardiac rehab is recommended if you have had:
- A heart attack.
- Angioplasty/stents.
- Coronary artery bypass grafts.
- Valve surgery.
- Heart failure.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is especially important for patients who have been diagnosed with:
- COPD
- COVID-19
- Asthma
- Lung disease
Through exercise and educational classes, Pulmonary Rehabilitation can help you participate in activities with less shortness of breath, as well as teach you how to better manage your condition.
All services require physician prescriptions. Insurance coverage varies, so please check with your insurer.
