Michael Dersam, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience in sports medicine. His focus is on knee and shoulder treatments, offering both operative and nonoperative repair and reconstruction options. Dr. Dersam provides a variety of advanced treatments including anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs and total knee replacements.

Dr. Dersam takes a personalized approach to patient care, collaborating closely with each individual to understand their unique needs and goals. Whether through surgical or nonsurgical solutions, he aims to help patients return to the activities they enjoy most. His background as a competitive college athlete gives him a deep appreciation for maintaining an active lifestyle, which he applies in treating people of all ages and activity levels.

Originally from Stafford, Arizona, Dr. Dersam has lived in Phoenix for the past 25 years. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golfing, skiing, camping, hiking and traveling with his family and friends. He is passionate about learning new activities and connecting with his patients through their shared experiences.
