About

Originally from Lebanon, Naji Hamdan, MD, practiced cardiology in Portland for 22 years before relocating to Phoenix. He prides himself on being sensitive to his patients’ needs, and the importance of kindness and compassion in difficult situations, acknowledging the anxiety his patients or their loved ones might have when they come to see him.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hamdan enjoys spending time with his family, working out, hiking and a newfound calming passion – cleaning the swimming pool.

Care philosophy

Dr. Hamdan believes that age is just a number. Through exercise, diet and keeping our minds challenged, patients can age healthy, stay independent and plan their next vacation. Having been on the other side of the table as a patient himself and with family members as patients, he understands what it feels like to worry about your loved ones, and the importance of trusting your healthcare provider to ease your worries. He strongly believes that life is very fragile – that we should make every day the best possible.
