Peter Nakaji, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of complex brain disorders. He has extensive expertise in brain tumors, cerebrovascular disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm and Chiari malformation. Dr. Nakaji combines advanced surgical techniques with a patient-centered approach to care.

His clinical focus includes cranial (brain and skull) disorders, with specialized treatments for aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations and carotid artery disease. He also treats brain and spinal tumors, skull base conditions, colloid cysts and other neurological conditions, often using minimally invasive techniques to promote faster recovery.

Dr. Nakaji serves as a professor of neurosurgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, dedicated to advancing the field through research, education and innovation. Dr. Nakaji completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of California, San Diego, followed by advanced fellowship training in endoscopic neurosurgery at the Centre for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery in Sydney, Australia.
