HonorHealth is stepping in to bring high-quality care to communities in the East Valley and Florence

Earlier this year, Steward Health Care faced some financial hurdles and declared bankruptcy, leading to their facilities being up for sale.

Here’s the good news: Starting Wednesday, Sept. 11, HonorHealth will step in to begin managing four Steward Health Care facilities and multiple outpatient physician practices while licensing and important systems are transitioned. Once this transition period is complete, HonorHealth plans to assume full operational ownership.

The facilities are:

  • Florence Hospital in Florence: 4545 N. Hunt Hwy, Florence, AZ 85132
  • Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa: 1301 S. Crismon Road, Mesa, AZ 85209
  • Steward Mesa Hospital – Emergency Room: 5750 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85206
  • St. Luke’s Hospital in Tempe: 1500 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281
