Accreditation
HonorHealth Bariatric Center is a MBSAQIP Accredited Comprehensive Center with Adolescent. The national Center of Excellence accreditation is given by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons and represents the highest level of accreditation available in this specialty.
HonorHealth Bariatric Center has been nationally accredited continuously since 2005, the first year in which accreditation was offered. Accreditation means that the structure of the program (equipment, volume of cases and personnel), the process of care within the program (standardized care pathways) and the outcomes of surgery are established and audited.
