Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)

DEI is a major focus of HonorHealth's training and culture. In fact, Newsweek rated HonorHealth as a top workplace for supporting diversity.

Didactics:

  • Our Internal Medicine program received a “Building Trust through Diversity, Health Care Equity and Inclusion in Internal Medicine” Innovation Grant. Under the leadership of Dr. Seema Jain, we have partnered with community members and employee affinity groups to increase education about Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ health. We’ve held panel discussions, grand rounds, small group discussions and problem-based learning sessions on these topics.
  • Microaggression training
  • Implicit bias training
  • Social determinants of health/health disparities taught throughout the curriculum
